Gobble Gobble!

Tommy spent much of his time hiding under the table and scampering around the house with Paige and Mac. He absolutely adores his cousins and couldn't get enough of them:) Pops patiently reading Tommy his favorite LONG Thomas the train Christmas story. Pops did a little improvisation, "puff puff, peep peep, woof woof, quack quack." I will let you guess what he added in! Needless to say Tommy loved it! Paige was awesome with Tommy. I see future babysitter in the making!

This series of pictures is Tommy and mommy impatiently waiting for daddy to get home from work so we could hit the road for State College.

Less is more weekend- sort of...

This weekend was a sit on the sofa, read books and watch football do nothing time. We did end up going on a five mile hike and I conveniently forgot my camera... I think Fred and I collectively read this Thomas the Train book to Tommy at least a dozen times. What surprises me is not so much the interest in the book but the attention span that this kid has. God knows he didn't get it from his mommy! Cozying up on daddy's lap and helping by turning the pages.
Friday Tommy and I took a little road trip to see Sesame Street Live in Norfolk, Va. Again, I will comment on my surprise at his ability to focus for soooooo long. I was done in 20 minutes. He sat for the whole 50 minute first half then played for the 15 minute intermission and then went back for another 35. I personally saw all of the Elmo I needed to for quite some time but more importantly Tommy loved it. He kept saying "MOMMY, MELMO!"
Mom can't you see that you are bothering me during the show, "Quit Woman!"
Notice, still sitting...
At the end of the show Tommy got a treat. Below this fantastic Elmo lid and a light up toy, which he is playing with but you can't see it in the picture.
