Daddy's birthday

Yesterday was Fred's 39th birthday so we had a very small celebration with balloons and candles, (he got his oversized, ridiculous television early). Tommy loves to blow out candles so he helped daddy with the daunting task of blowing out the three and the nine. He was very proud of himself upon completion!

Cake time!

Here attempting a sweet family portrait. Notice the chocolate cake remenant on my chin folds. Hot!

Boing Boing Boing

Eventhough Tommy has been crabby due to excessive amounts of traveling over the last few months he always seems to find just that little extra energy somewhere at the tips of his toes. He loves to bounce on the guest bed downstairs. Watch the sheer enjoyment on his face!

weekend away from Mommy and Daddy

Well this was the first time that Tommy was away from us for more than 24 hours ever. I think it is safe to say that both parties had a blast! While we were off at our dear friends Kevin and Nappi's committment ceremony Tommy was hanging out with some of his favorite cousins in Maryland. It was his cousin Cohlton's b-day party this weekend so they all went to Chuckie Cheese. Aunt Frances tells us that Tommy had a blast, while his cousin Walker didn't. Walker fell on some sort of steel bar and got 8 stiches next to his eyebrow, (see below). I think it is safe to say that Aunt Franny pants had her hands full. She did however have the help of her trusty assistant's Susan and her bestie Brittney. When we picked up Tommy today you could tell that he had fun:) We were so excited to see him, we missed his wonderful smile a lot. Thankfully Aunt Fran was able to capture some of his glory this weekend.

Playdate with Sam

Yesterday Tommy had a playdate with his buddy Sam. They both have a mutual affinity for "choo choos" and Cars. I think the word MINE came out a couple of times but they really play well together and seem to enjoy each others company.

Here we are with a reading request of Curious George. I think Sam did more talking and explanation of the book than I did reading!

Just wanted to share Tommy eating his favorite meal, ("Sice")!!!

My 2nd Birthday in California

It was bowling in California for our big guy on his second birthday and he loved it! We used one of the handicap ramps for him to bowl and he did quite well finishing with a total of 75! His bowling shoes were a little big on him but it was really all affect! He enjoyed it for about 5 frames and then it was off running checking out the arena. (I apologize for not getting these up sooner but we forgot my camera so we had to resort to a disposable camera and then actually develop film and get a cd from that, what a pain)! Anyway, we had a great time in California spending time with Grandma, Aunt "Su-see," Bob and Jessie:)

While Tommy usually loves cake and was loving this particular cake b/c of its adornments he wasn't really up for eating it. Curious...

Tommy absolutely loved his time with Jessie. They played with cars and trucks and he called for her constantly, even after we left. Hearing him call her name was adorable.
Tommy would go from lap to lap in attempts to get everyone to read his Thomas book. You will notice a trend below.

Going for some rides on cousin Jessie's back and loving it!

Christmas with the Griswolds

Merry Christmas everyone! We are sorry for not getting these up sooner but the last few weeks have found us in all sorts of places except home. We had an awesome Christmas and New Year and wanted to share Tommy's adventures! It all started here in Virginia Beach for an early Egerer family Christmas. Tommy loves nothing more than to rip the wrapping paper off of the package. He goes for the bow first then the rip. He really never seemed all too concerned about the packages contents, more for the ripping and tearing part! We are off to California this week so we will be sure to post some more fun photos of Tommy and family.

Tommy is about to pop he is so excited!
Why get a bunch of presents when I can get Toby the train and be completely happy with that.

Mac and Tommy checking out the gynormous Christmas village. Tommy was in awe of the spectacular site.
I couldn't resist not sharing this. Seeing my dad with really BAD hair got us all into hysterics! Breakfast time with cousin Walker.

It was snuggle time with Tommy's Gigi.

Rudolph had quite a good time dressing up, getting ready for the night of caroling.

Ah, the annual Heim Family caroling outing, full of fun, singing and JAGERMEISTER, and this year a mullet for Pops. This is almost all of the crew, (John Heim kids absent). It was good times to be had by all:)

Chillin with cousin Cohlton.
Alright guys, I am getting tired, I mean it is 10:30.
Tommy hanging with cousin Sammy, Christmas eve morning. The Frances Young family did their Christmas the day before Christmas as they had many more stops to make.
Walker got a sleeping bag for Christmas from Gigi and pops so the boys thought they would test it out on the tile floor. Mmm, comfy.
Tommy, Ben, Savanna and Brooklyn all patiently letting parents take pictures of them in their finery.

Tommy was starting to tire out. The anticipation of Santa was all sorts of exhausting!
Ah, Christmas morning. This wasn't even remotely overwhelming for Tommy at all. He would open one present, then he wanted to completely open the box and play with it. It was exhausting, but so fun to be a part of.

It is tradition that we all sit on the stairs and take a picture before we go and see if Santa came. We cheated this year as Tommy still doesn't comprehend the whole Santa thing. The John Heim family came later in the morning.

Tommy's girlfriend Emma came over the day after Christmas for a little play time. Tommy put the moves on her early in the morning. He is quite taken with her. I wasn't sure how much Emma appreciated the drool. I am sure over time Tommy will get better!

This is an evening with Cousin "Su-cee," while mommy and daddy went to a movie with Gigi and Pops. Tommy took a liking to Pfessiernussen's or however you spell it. We told them that they were donuts, he was happy!
