Yes Sensei

So Tommy started Karate last week. The first day he loved it b/c there was a bigger class and a girl instructor. The second lesson, not so much! He got down and dirty with "Master my Ego is too big for this room" and did some real kickin!!! After that he said he didn't want to go back but we are going to keep up with it as I believe the discipline is good for him and once he gets used to some of the moves it might be more fun. He spent most of the class hopping around like Tigger and checking himself out in the mirror. He did not receive his belt b/c he was not paying attention, (I think the boy might have a case of mommy in him)!!! We are hoping for better luck next time. We did explain the whole "earning" concept to him which I am pretty sure went straight over his head as he kept asking for the belt. Poor little guy. Crazy ass sensei and his ridged rules!!!

Don't get me wrong it was fun for him so we will send him back!!!

Epcot, Medieval TImes, The Magic Kingdom Woa!

THese pictures should have been posted consecutively but I have been busy. The day after Universal Studios Gigi and I got brave and took the kids to Epcot. The heat combined with exhaustion and two winey kids made it a bit of a rough go! We gutted it out for several hours then decided it would be advantageous for us to leave...

These smiling faces are only smiling because we had just gotten there!

Epcot had a new feature attraction, some Under the sea thing with Nemo. The ride broke down for a solid 5 minutes while we were on it. That was awesome with Heidi crawling all over me while I was trying to get her to stay still, yea right!

What comes next was even more adventurous! We took the kids to Medieval times that night for a jousting show with all of the Marines from the command, Tommy loved it but I think Heidi could have done without.

The next day was the Magic Kingdom which I think would have been way more fun had we not have done two parks two days in a row. The kids were exhausted, having said that it really was awesome to watch Tommy's eyes lite up when he saw all of the Disney characters. It truely was magic!

Almost as soon as we entered the park we ran into a parade with many of the characters, Tommy loved it!

Genie from Aladdin was part of the parade. I just thought this was a cool picture.

The Egerer's and Tommy's new friend Timothy! Tommy had a fun time with his buddy Timothy at the park.

My mouse!
While daddy and Tommy went on a water flume ride with the rest of the command Heidi and I stayed out and walked around the park. We took the opportunity to meet Cowboy Goofy. I don't think she could have cared less! Maybe next time! Soon after the water ride the Egerer's exited the park b/c we had all had it. We plan on making many more trips to the magic kingdom when there is less heat and less people. It is under three hours from us so you can look forward to some more Disney posts!

Spidey Twice

Tommy had the good fortune of going to the kids club night last Friday at the country club. There were about 9 other kids there running around and they all got to get their faces painted. Tommy chose Spiderman and of course spent the night rubbing his face and getting it all over the place.
Gigi is in town for the next couple of weeks helping us get our house together before Fred has to go back to work full time. She relished this rare moment when the mouse was sitting still.
Tommy with a massive piece of cookie in his mouth and the mouse with her crutch.

Below is one of the few decent pictures that we were able to get from Freds change of command. Fred said some great things at the command ceremony and it was a really nice ceremony. We are super proud of him and look forward to hearing and being a part of his many adventures.
Below is mom hanging out with Heidi enjoying some pool time before we hit the Orlando parks.
Tommy was totally into going down the snake slide at our hotels pool. I am pretty sure that collectively mom and I went down it at least a dozen times.
The mouse sat and enjoyed the sites at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure. The kids had an absolute blast.
Tommy and Gigi riding on The One Fish Two Fish ride in Seussland!
Tommy has no concerns about going on the bigger rides. You can slightly see him in between Gigi and the guy in the red shirt. He went on the Jurrassic Park ride and loved it all the way up to the point that the T-Rex came out with a roar. He also went on the 3D Spiderman with me.

Tommy was ECSTATIC to meet Spiderman. I am pretty sure that was the highlight of his day. He came bouncing out of the shop where he got the picture taken throwing his web hands around that Spiderman had showed him.
Thing One and Thing Two.
I have no words for this picture other than it makes me laugh!

We do Epcot tomorrow and Disneyworld on Wednesday. We will continue to share our adventures over the next couple of days!
