Daddy's birthday and he's 40!

Tommy woke up from his nap yesterday quite headstrong so I thought it would be fun to go and decorate daddy's cake. Tommy loved the idea and embraced his decorating skills immediately. I put the Happy Birthday on the cake and he did the rest. Notice the concentration!
As the pictures progress notice the amount of sprinkles covering the chocolate. Tommy was very pleased with his work. He also figured out that he could dip his hands in the icing and lick his fingers. I think that was his favorite part! He would follow up a lick with "mmm dewicious!"
Our sweet angel slept through the whole thing.
Still sleeping...
Yep, still zonked!
Tommy was very patiently waiting for daddy on the bench looking out the window...
Hurry up Daddy!!!

This has to be my favorite picture to date!

Finally, daddy gets home. We were waiting outside riding the scooter when daddy pulled up. Tommy ran up to daddy yelling Happy Birthday Daddy and then proceeded to tell him that he got a birthday chair. Good thing he already knew. Daddy was super excited and immediately went in to enjoy his man chair!
Tommy wanted in on the fun. Daddy had a happy birthday and Tommy had a blast providing the fun for him...
I just thought this picture put in to perspective how tiny this little baby is. Look how bitty!!!

Saturday lazies

We don't have much to say just wanted to share some shots. I love this one:)
This is Gabrielle our next door neighbor. Heidi and Gabby got matching onesies from the neighbor across the street and we took some pics of the cuteness... I love the innocence of this picture.
And this one...

Another Egerer day passes and still NO SLEEP

I haven't really been able to get that many pictures of Heidi awake so I wanted to take the opportunity to share the ones that I was able to get tonight. The "pile-ons" have already started. The Egerer kids can't get enough of their daddy. Lets not forget to mention that Tommy was not about to be left out of daddy wrestle mania. Look at this tiny little princess.
She's awake!

My boys.
Tommy taking time to love his little Heidi sister.

Tommy had some tool time out in the garage the other day while Fred was doing some work. This kid know the names of more tools than I do... Sad but impressive!

Aquarium and others

We went to the aquarium today with Sam, Luke and Amy. Tommy helped me clean up the kitchen before we left for some learning. Patiently waiting in front of the seal tanks outside Tommy let me capture his cuteness while waiting for the Ricciardella family.

Tommy had no fears touching the hermit crab or the sting rays. he was very interested. Last time we went to the aquarium he was definitely not as enthralled with the exhibits as he was this time.
At the very end Tommy stopped to color a walrus puppet. He was pretty pooped after his time at the aquarium. I can tell you that his attention was greater than mine. I was done after ten minutes and he rolled out for an hour and a half.
Our sweet little princess.
I wanted to capture the innocence and beauty of this little hand. I can't believe how little she really is.

Tommy Turns Three-AHHH

Can you believe our baby boy is three!!! He had a huge, fun day for his 3rd celebration. We had a party for him at his favorite stomping grounds, My Gym. There were 8 kids and and an hour and a half of non stop sugar induced fun. All of Tommy's friends had a blast and Tommy felt like a king! It came at a good time as he is experiencing a lot of confusion with his new baby sister here. Tommy is a proud three year old and he is proud to announce his new age to anyone who asks! The party started with some good running around, and some climbing on the uneven bars with his buddy Maddox. The games began and it was a relay race to the octopus.

They brought out the bubble machine and the kids were in heaven as you can see, especially the man of the hour!
Even Uncle Nappi got in on the fun!!!
On to the swings, (it was ADD heaven for these kids)!
They had a birthday march for Tommy. I wasn't too sure how he felt about that until all the kids came marching behind him chanting "Happy Birthday Tommy!"

It was break time and cake time! Wait till you see this cake! The kids couldn't wait!
Thomas the train heaven for the mouth!
After a good loud rendition of Happy Birthday Tommy, Tommy only had to blow about three times to get the candles out!
Mmm, yummy!
Everyone had blue mouths. It was awesome!
Tommy enjoyed his cake next to his best buddy Sam. Sam, while eating cake stopped and said, "I love Tommy's birthday party!" Sam's mommy and I got a kick out of it!
Now to work off some of that sugar they brought out the zip line for all of the kids to ride.
A feeble attempt to get all of the birthday party participants together for a group photo. Not too successful let me tell you.
The party was a huge success and Tommy truely felt like a king! Next it we went home for present opening. Tommy in true present opening form opened one and wanted to play with it, ignorning the pile sitting on the ground. The powers of coersion got the rest opened so he could get down for a nap. Tommy put on his fp3 player from Gigi and took a second to pose with his Uncle Scott for a snapshot. Tommy refers to his headphones as "microphones."

Loving all of his loot.
After Tommy's nap he got to open his present from Mommy and Daddy, a brand new red Hummer that even plays its own music. He LOVES it!
Getting a few lessons from daddy was key for the operation of his new vehicle. He did surprisingly well.

Tommy had a great third birthday and we just wanted to share all of the joy.
