Grandma comes to visit plus more...

Tommy and I have been taking little rides after his afternoon nap. He really is getting much better with the pedals but finds it more efficient to propel forward by running on his toes like Fred Flinstone. I only took pictures b/c I thought he looked ultra cute as our cooler weather is slowly approaching. I am ready for fall. It just doesn't get cold enough here.

Grandma has come to visit for the next two weeks all the way from California, and Tommy is enjoying her company quite a lot. He spends most of his time showing off for her but took a little time to sit and let her read to him.

We all went out on the dock the other night and did some fishing. No success, but we did get some good shots out of it.

Saturday was Godson Nick Gates first birthday. Tommy was a little under the weather with some sort of bug but certainly managed to muster up enough energy to have some cake and run around with the other little kids. Notice his pale shade and sad stare.
This was Nick's first go at sweets in life so he wasn't quite sure what to think of it. He got more on him than in his mouth!

Tommy now a little more energized for the cake that he kept asking for.

PSU Squashes Notre Dame weekend!

The weekend kicked off with some less is more time with Uncle Scott, or as Tommy prefers Uncle Cott. Scotty showed Tommy the ropes on the lap top so the adults could catch up. It has been a busy summer and this was the first time that we had crossed paths in about 5 months.
Tommy pleased as he plays around on the Thomas the train website.
The Hraba's, Egan and Ben Heim families joined us on Friday night for a true Southern Buffet a la Chef Gigi, (I can take some credit for the country fried pork). The boys and cousin Paige got to run around all night. Tommy was on overload.
Looking a little sleepy eyed, Tommy hopped on board to play some video games with his buddy Mikey.

Still not quite awake but gearing up toward a big day at Beaver Stadium.
Miss Heather helped adorn Tommy's cheeks with "stickers" so he looked the part of the true Penn State fan. He really did look cute and we got stopped quite a bit for people to remark on his cuteness at the tailgates!

Tailgate #1 with a mouth full of chocolate chip cookies!
Daddy had to pay homage to his alma mater although he has become quite the PSU fan, by default of course!
Ahh, the two pregnant mommies with their beers. We thought this would make a nice Christmas card!
Tommy was slow to warm to Aunt Poopsie and Uncle Ouhie and Uncle Willy but he got better as the tailgate wore on.

My two dads!

Tommy was trying to make a sad Mikey Hraba feel better by patting his back. Tommy is forever the sweet heart.
Three of the many kids around for the weekend. Yes, I am referring to Nappi as a child!
Tommy looking up to his buddy Carson Egan.

Tommy doing his touchdown pose. He was quite animated when we went back to Uncle John's house to watch the game. It was fun to watch his react to all of the adults cheering on the game. He got very excited when PSU scored! He also got his first nose bleed as a result of the excitement he was jumping from sofa to sofa and hit face on the arm of the sofa. He smacked his nose and bit his tounge all with a carrot in his mouth. The aftermath was none too pretty. I got carrot and blood barf all in my hair and on my clothes. I felt so bad for the little man. Daddy quickly came to the rescue on both sides and made Tommy feel better instantly. Daddy says that he is a tough guy!

Practicing his Heisman stance. I think he has potential as a future candidate even now!

Sunday rolled around and Janae and her husband Russell rolled by for a final goodbye. It was great to see the newlyweds who are also newly pregnant. We are very excited for them!

Making muscles

We had a very laid back labor day weekend. It was nice having some down time as a family. Monday some of our buddies came by with dinner and we ate outside by the pool and enjoyed the sweet summer breeze. Tommy told our friend Mike that he needed shoes to ride his bike so Mike so kindly offered up his! Tommy didn't get very far with the men's size 10's! He could, however, stop for a little pose time and say cheese!!!
And now he is making his muscles and growling. We are teaching him young!

Here exemplifying fine form while blowing up the bicep but I don't think he realizes that the thumb and pointer finger are different! He still has the concept down and is ready to blow up his "guns" for his pops.
Fred is getting some practice for our upcoming daughter! This is our neighbors daughter Gabrielle. She is 3 months old now. I think Fred will do just fine with another lady in the house. I have been out numbered for too long!
