Tommy's First Soccer Practice

Today was a super busy day for the Big T-Pants Egerer. He had school, swimming lessons and his first soccer practice. He walked in to our bedroom this morning holding his clothes and said "mom I got my dressed," (which means mom I have my clothes to get dressed)! He was so excited for his day to start. I would love to tell you that he was awesome all day and obeyed and all of that good stuff but I think he spent the evening so excited about his big day that he got no sleep and therefore was a BEAR the WHOLE day. Nevertheless, he had a blast at his first soccer practice and can't wait to play in the games. The first practice consisted of some running, kicking and duck duck goose. Fred and I were wondering where the agilities, suicides and head balls came in... Maybe that will be the second practice!

WE have been doing some kicking at home and he is doing quite well. We keep emphasizing to him that you KICK the ball not carry it. I think he has finally gotten that concept. He proved to be a strong asset on the field, sprinting out first on the run around the 20 yd field, no way Tommy was not going to be first!

Not to be outdone the Mouse sat along the sidelines being the great athletic supporter and rolled around from front to back squeaking like usual!

After a grueling 25 minute practice Tommy got to top off his day with some chocolate ice cream from the local dairy where we stopped to give a little support to one of Fred's co-workers who was promoting the local dog rescue and she didn't show so we enjoyed looking at the big great danes and eating ice cream. All in all it was a good day and I think Tommy is going to be a great little athlete! Our little Striker in the making. Oh BTW, the name of his team is the Giants- an oxymoron of course of the little midgets running around in circles after a ball!

A few more from the Dew and Sam R's B-day PArty

I had these extra pictures on my other camera from the beach and wanted to share. I bought Heidi another beach hat b/c her grape has grown and she needed more space for that melon of hers. I thought she looked absolutely precious in her tutu bathing suit and oversized grape cover!

It was Tommy's bestie Sam's b-day two Saturday's ago, (slow on the upload on my end). Anyway, Tommy and I went to the bowling party while Daddy, Gigi and Heidi stayed home with our never ending case of dysentery. Tommy wasn't on his A game as he was still a little sick but he managed to have a great time with his best buddy nonetheless!

Final days of Debordieu summer

This was our finaly jaunt to the Dew this summer. The kids had a great time with their cousins, Aunts, Uncles and Grandparents. Not much to say other than it was fun. WE are all tired and ready for a recouperation week!

We did bring two babysitters with us which proved to be exceptionally helpful. The kids loved Brittney and Zohra and we loved having them as company. Thanks again to them!

Tommy starts soccer this Thursday so I promise to have a great post for you all of the organized chaos that will ensue.

Jetsetters take SC

The Egerer's were off again for a quick jaunt to State College for the weekend, shocker. Pops spoiled us all by sending his new jet to get us. It took just over an hour to get there. We don't want to make the drive anymore!!! The kids were great, Heidi slept right after take off and Tommy watched his Thomas the train video. Daddy rode shot gun and got to wear the head set and listen in on the radio feed and I got to read, it was so easy it was gross! Needless to say we had a super fun weekend in PA and look forward to playing with the Heim family in DeBordieu next week. To the right Captain Tim holds Heidi who btw is still sleeping!

Gigi and Pops hosted a fundraiser for Easter Seals on Friday night so we brought the kids out in their evenings best and showed off the cuteness. Aunt Patti Fernsler better known as Queenie P enjoyed her time with Heidi Mouse:)

We attempted an underwater photo with Tommy, Walker, Cohlton, Paige and MAc but unfortunately we only really see two of the five!

Miss mOuse and cousin Sheppie played the afternoon away!

Saturday night was Cousin Susan's 18th birthday party so Sunday morning the kids got to play with all of the leftover props. The oversized balloons were quite a hit. They all wanted to let them fly up into the sky.

Part of the HEim brood.

Tommy and Heidi got to play with Brittney and Susan while Mommy and Uncle Ben did a 9 miler training run while gigi rode along side.

Okay, so this video is something else. Tommy loves to sing in angry voice and I have no idea where he gets it from. He also only sings the Thomas song. I have to be honest, I am looking forward for him to find something else that he loves as much as he loves Thomas the train... Whatever the case may be it makes me laugh. Hope you enjoy as well!
