Superman goes to the Dentist

Last week Tommy went for his very first dentist appointment. He did really well and was very cooperative due to the flat screen television right in his line of view that conveniently had the Disney channel on! Anytime the hygenist would get her body or head in the way he would move. Punk. We got a great report from the dentist. He said that Tommy's teeth were very clean. Tommy did so well that he got a frisbee. (He kept asking for a sticker). What kind of Dr's offices give frisbees!

So Tommy's new thing is asking me to tie his blanket around his neck like Superman and he runs around the house screaming. I didn't actually get him in action this morning b/c he has donut remenant in his mouth and I didn't put him down once I tied his "cape" on, on purpose! He is the energizer bunny, no joke.
Here is is saying "me more time," which in our language means one more time! He wanted to keep saying free, two, one blast off!

okay enough of the cape, for now...

Also note Tommy's haircut. Last week we went to get it cut. We just so happened to be dropping of daddy's lunch so we just killed two birds with one stone and went with daddy to get the haircut. I have never taken him on base, we always go to Super Cuts, note, Super Cuts "high and tight" is far different from a Military base "high and tight!" Could he look any more like his dad!!!
Tommy has also taken to jumping from one furniture base to the next, again, not quite caught on film but in between his jumps he ventured over the the piano for some play time. Note, the piano is a bourbon bar that no longer has the instrumentation to make noise but it still has the keys. Why make music when you can drink, right. Well, Tommy still sang along with his own tune. He is in to twinkle, twinkle, little star, the itsy bitsy spider and the abc's. He can carry a tune much better than his mommy and daddy combined!

missed these two

These two pictures got deleted from the post. oops. just some that I wanted to share. I just like the innocence of Tommy's stare below. he really looks like an angel to me.

Hot in the Summer Time

The Egerer family spent another week in DeBordieu with the part of the Heim clan. We spent the week riding bikes, playing with cousins and going to the beach. Tommy was very busy running around with his cousins and telling them to stop it. No joke, this kid has some of the best manners, yes please, no thank you. Starting him young! His vocabulary is expanding by the second and he really is fun to talk to. He really enjoyed the bike ride and told me it was "ooh fun."

we had some time down at the beach. Tommy built some dribble castles with his cousins only to run right over them. He also enjoyed some time with his pops and gigi in the water while mommy and daddy sat back and watched.
Looking up to his pops:)

We had a nice dinner out with all of the kids who were extremely well behaved. Tommy only spilled one entire glass of water all over the table! Then took some time to play with pops.

FrancesYoung Family for a visit

It was a fun filled action packed weekend spent with the Frances Young family here in VA Beach. Frances brought all of her crazy's in town and we spent most of the weekend in the pool. Tommy had a blast playing with all of his cousins and his throughly EXHAUSTED from all of the fun:) He has taken quite a liking to the diving board. He does belly flops straight into the pool and just goes right to the ladder. He is quite the swimmer.

Everyone took turns with the snorkeling mask. I thought Tommy sported it the best!
Although Samantha looks just as ridiculous!!!
Tommy and Walker relaxing after an afternoon of heavy swimming. Good times.

Yes we are alive!!!

My greatest apologies for not keeping up on sharing this smiling face with all of you. It has been an incredibly busy summer, not too disimilar from last... Anyway, I am not going to bore you with explanation. Just enjoy the pictures. These go from father's day, to Freds promostion on the USS Truman to LTCOL, to fourth of July to DeBordieu. Hopefully, I will be better about the posts now that we have the summer coming to a close.
