What a weekend and it isn't even over yet!

Tonight the Egerer family made a trip to the Home Depot home of our favorite NASCAR champ Tony Stewart, (I am assuming you all know the story of me and Tony). Anyway, there was a "Cars" toy that they had there and we let Tommy play with it all the way through the check out. As Christmas is right around the corner we saw no need to buy the item given the fact that he had some "Cars" paraphenalia waiting under the tree for him at home. The clerk pretended to put the toy in the bag and we exited thinking victory, we tricked him. We left the store and all through the parking lot he kept pointing to the bag and saying "Cars." I threw Thomas the train on the DVD in the car as a diversion and that seemed to work. We got home and out came the bag where he immediately went back to pointing to the bag and saying "Cars." We at this point felt wicked bad so we thought it was a good idea to let him have one of his presents early. See below. At first he just played with the ribbon so daddy thought he would show him the ropes. Ooh, what fun tearing things can be!
Okay, I think I am getting the hang out this.
Sweet, this is awesome!!! I got it!
Then comes the laborious task of actually getting the toy out of the box. Is there really a reason for three hundred zip ties to hold one car in a box. I mean really.
Okay, finally it is play time and this thing is sweet. Lightning McQueen drives on his own, his mouth moves when he talks and he is not annoying at all...

Earlier in the day Tommy and daddy had some resting time from an exhausting morning of pine cone pick up. Daddy didn't really so much do the pine cone pick up he was actually recovering from a night of being overserved.
Daddy and his little Snugglefish.
It was a beautiful day in VA Beach so we sat outside and watched Tommy collect pine cones in the front yard.

Notice Tommy is still in his Elmo slipper and hat which he wore for the majority of the day. They are awful.
Here practicing for his High School Senior portrait, I just wish it was a little closer.
Thursday night was evening at the park b/c we got deflected from the driving range at the golf course. Daddy and Tommy brought out their Nine Irons and made an attempt to hit some balls but the course had closed so we quickly made way to the park to wiggle out some sweet toddler energy.
The swerving slide is Tommy's favorite. Can you tell?!!!

What's in here for me?

Some Christmas gifts came in the other day and Tommy wanted to help unload the boxes, however, he had a difficult time getting passed the edge of this enorme box! Okay, we've emptied the boxes but now Tommy is stuck.
Tommy started yelling "Stuck, stuck, stuck," then he started to get frustrated. We thought at that point we could stop being cruel, stop laughing and help our little toddler out of the cardboard!

Old Beard Hemlock

For whatever reason the below picture keeps rotating when I upload it so take it as it is! Anway, Fred gives Tommy the old beard hemlocks that absolutely crack him up. I remember when my dad used to rub his five o'clock shadow up against my face. I don't know why Tommy thinks it is so funny b/c I thought it hurt!

Coffee Coffee Buzz Buzz

Well, as you can see below Tommy got a hold of my Mocha the other morning. What was to follow was a pretty amazing coffee buzz! We were chasing each other back and forth screaming. He clearly enjoyed myself and I was ultra tired from lack of coffee and excessive morning movement!

Rudolph came early this year.

Our neighbor's father brought over a surprise for Tommy pants this weekend. He bestowed upon him Rudolph's shiney red nose. Tommy was apprehensive at first so Daddy showed him the ropes. He seemed to enjoy the light up nose after he figured out what he was supposed to do with it.

Yes! This thing is sweet! Notice the sheer joy of a blinking red bulb! Going a little wonky eyed from staring at the nose too much!
